Fund selection

Wherever possible we look to invest into plans that offer ‘open architecture’ thereby allowing access to the widest possible selection of highly rated funds. The Fleet Street Financial Investment Committee employ the services of two of the largest independent ratings agencies who help us identify the leading fund managers. At each review the performance is tested to benchmarks and regular switches help ensure clients gravitate to the best available funds within the correct asset allocation.

For larger portfolios there may be an argument for utilising the services of a third party specialist discretionary fund manager who have access to asset classes and positions not readily available to retail investors. Discretionary fund management provides the most bespoke of solutions providing discounts through institutional buying power but also benefiting from the direct access to your own fund manager who is available to meet and discuss both your situation and also his thoughts on the markets.
